On April 22, 2026, Israeli military attacks in Lebanon killed journalist Amal Khalil and severely wounded journalist Zainab Faraj.
The evidence indicates that the Israeli military knew or should have known that Khalil and Faraj were civilians, but subsequently targeted them, committing an apparent war crime.
