ON SIGNS KYLIAN MBAPPÉ FROM NIKE
On has signed Real Madrid star Kylian Mbappé away from $NKE, which had sponsored him since childhood, as the Swiss sportswear company expands into football.
$ONON plans to launch its first football boots in 2027, followed by kits, lifestyle products and trainers.
The company has also appointed Thierry Henry as director of football and plans to use its LightSpray technology, which uses robots to create lightweight shoe uppers, as part of the push.
On wants the Mbappé partnership to resemble its long-term relationship with Roger Federer, who became an investor in 2019 and helped the company expand into tennis.
