we are pledging up to $5m in grants to open source developers building post-quantum cryptography for bitcoin, post-quantum signature schema for bitcoin, reviewing code, doing security audits, and more
if you are working on this and need funding, email:

Today we're launching the Galaxy Bitcoin Quantum Readiness Initiative.
No quantum computer today can break Bitcoin's security. But that could change faster than expected, and Bitcoin is slow to update by design. We love Bitcoin and believe in its long-term importance and prospects, so we want to contribute to the work before it's urgent.
The initiative has three pillars:
→ Up to $5M in developer grants for post-quantum solutions
→ Ongoing research & publishing via Galaxy Research
→ A Quantum Advisory Council of leading experts
The Developer Grant Program funds work on:
— Quantum-resistant upgrade proposals (i.e., informal proposals to formal BIPs)
— Post-quantum cryptography and signature schemes for Bitcoin,
— Wallet/custodian migration tooling
— Formal security audits, code review
Bitcoin's security has always depended on people showing up early to defend it. We're inviting the ecosystem — developers, institutions, researchers — to join us.
