I made the switch! I installed Omarchy and made it my main OS. 🔥 Huge credit to @dhh for building it. It took me a few days of pondering and tinkering with Omarchy, but eventually I decided it's the right system for me. The install was insanely fast too, less than two minutes! The Omarchy desktop shell takes some getting used to. It's very minimalistic and heavily optimized for keyboard use, but it's also extremely well thought out. The whole shell is written in Qt / QtQuick, which is awesome for me because I've been a professional Qt developer (and KDE member) for many years. That means I can hack on it, customize it, and extend it very easily. And perhaps my favorite part: Omarchy is totally optimized for agentic use and was built with AI agents. It's extremely AI-native, which is very much my cup of tea. 😄
