Mark Kretschmann(@mark_k):At its core, Effective Accelerationism (e/acc) is a bunch of people in a group chat, sharing ideas, posting memes, and pushing back against the doomers. Until recently, there was no funding, no formal organization, and barely any structure. Just people who believe the future is worth building. e/acc has helped show the world why technological acceleration matters. Faster progress means better tools to cure diseases, create abundance, and improve people's lives. Every year we hold it back is another year people wait for those breakthroughs. Considering how little the movement had to work with, its impact on the world has been extraordinary!
