Some people don’t lose relationships because they lack options; they lose them because they never learn to respect boundaries.
Being in a relationship doesn’t automatically switch off attention from other people. Character is what determines what you do with that attention.
That’s the real conversation.
Some people enter relationships but never really retire from the attention market.
Commitment is not about having fewer options; it’s about having clearer boundaries when those options appear.
At some point, “that’s just how people are” becomes a convenient excuse for choices they simply refuse to take responsibility for.
Accountability > excuses.
