The system was tested on benchmark circuits simulating up to 408 logical qubits and more than 31.5M quantum operations, with as little as 0.02% added processing time. The decoder runs continuously in the background, allowing error correction without pausing quantum execution. IonQ says the result supports its Walking Cat architecture and roadmap toward systems controlling thousands of qubits.
