Scrolled through the TL
Somehow many are suddenly so bearish, crashing out over every single topic they read while probably staring at the LTF chart. Not much thesis work or narrative focus, mostly noise.
Doing mostly nothing is an edge here.
My quick take:
This is a bull market uptrend and flushes like this can happen, especially when the classic yearly binance spot selling (10/10 fears), AI math + openAI revenue talks and other bearish news all converge on one point in the chart and naturally create uncertainty. Inexperienced late entries will capitulate thinking everything goes to zero, just to overtrade the next consolidation phase (emotional trading). I know it's hard to hold late entry spot bags, but the invalidation must be based on a clean HTF framework set beforehand, not on a post someone read on the toilet in the morning, followed by panic selling and bear posting without knowledge, edge or framework. CT is mostly full of emotional shitposting without any real meaning, and that's the fun most of the time. But most people confuse it with real news that could actually shift momentum and bias. I can't spot any of that here.
This cycle's narrative is tokenization and we've been seeing actual adoption from banks and giant financial institutions.
My approach since the overall BO into a bull market uptrend a few weeks ago is watching the HTF charts, researching developments of quality coins, staying mostly in spot and doing nothing beyond trading high liquidity phases onchain.
Regarding onchain, there have always been high and low liquidity phases. TPing and off ramping into the high liq phase is the whole reason we trade onchain in the first place, to secure profits for financial freedom.
Nobody can time everything to the perfect day and losing your port ATH is completely normal. But most people lack capital protection in exactly the phases where it's crucial (PA momentum lost, thesis broken, catalyst gone, sentiment turning aggressive...)
Easy to make money on the way up. Somehow hard for most to TP and offramp into the green days (urge to make more, inner drive to make it), also harder to cut on the way down when your thesis and the pattern dynamics lose the momentum you wanted to see. It's all about off ramping gradually and protecting those gains by resisting the urge to make even more quickly. Your brain wants a pause, but you can't take one until you've made it. This is mostly an emotional death spiral for trading onchain. It's okay to miss out on trades and narratives from time to time. It's less okay to roundtrip a lot of what you made by nailing trades and narratives early on.
New leg ups on narratives can always be traded again with smaller capital, bc the emotions will be much lower that way. Selling something just to immediately rotate into another bag isn't the way most of the time. Most of the time it's better to rotate the majority into less risky assets or just cash and trade with what's left, instead of overthinking what could, would or should have been.
But that's just my framework. I'm not perfectly timing every trade and often execute them badly as well. What I do know is when and how to protect most of the capital I've made, which is an edge over most traders in this fast paced attention economy. Find yours, slowly and with intention. No one needs to make it big every single year. Protecting what was made in the easy phases is what’s crucial, no matter how much it was. Before PnL size even matters, it’s the routines that run automatically in your head, built on the right mindset. PnL size naturally grows with experience and an established framework.
Back to doing mostly nothing.
