$CODEC is a $6M market cap, and its simulator (SimArena) is about to be used by 80+ teams at TUM's robotics hackathon, with @codecopenflow sitting on the partner list as NVIDIA, Universal Robots, NEURA Robotics, Doosan and Microsoft. The chart has started to notice too. $2.6M cap on 6 Sep, $6.3M today, equalling a 2.4x in ten days, up more than 70% on the week (yet still 86% under the Sep 2025 high). With daily volume around $250K, this is likely still early (smart) money tho, not the crowd. Yet. But let me explain why now might be the time to shoot your shot: The Munich hackathon is bigger than you might think, and is one of the first test of a Codec product at scale: - The robo.innovate hackathon is going into its 5th edition from 23 to 28 Oct at the Munich Urban Colab + TUM Geriatronics campus in Garmisch - It's free entry for builders, has EUR 10K+ in prizes up for grabs, and a total of eight challenges as per the official page - The incubator behind it entails 78 startup teams, has raised EUR 64M pre-seed + seed since 2023, and stands for a 1,300-person community - 80+ teams, every one with SimArena access and credits will participate in this year's edition. In a competition where simulation is a highly critical part of the equation. But wait, why does SimArena matter? Because in three of the eight challenges simulation isn't a side quest, it's the workflow, and SimArena is the simulator every team gets credits for: - Universal Robots / Teradyne: an AI agent turns a customer order into a robot program, and every program gets dry-run in a SimArena scene before it touches the real UR cobot - peaq / Doosan / Codec: the whole work plan is built in sim, failures are rehearsed in sim, and it then has to run unchanged on a real Doosan A0509. - NEURA: teams teleoperate demos in the browser, export them in LeRobot format straight out of SimArena, and train their policy before they get a minute of hardware time The $CODEC context: - Building in SimArena (free tier, cloud from $99 a month) means using a real product (with a huge TAM btw) and real revenue being generated from it, that will accrue value back to Codec) - Top teams get fast-tracked into The Foundry, which is @machinedotfun's own accelerator (read more about it here: bringing teams on an actual factory floor, and via the launchpad, providing access to early-stage funding. - The best part? Everything SimArena earns or that @machinedotfun (no separate token coming here) generates flows back into Codec's stack and economics. Obviously NFA, but this is definitely one of my high-conviction plays for the coming months. Robo szn isn't over, it's just getting started, and $CODEC is likely the strongest onchain play you'll find out there, esp looking at divergence btwn the fundamentals and its valuation.
