Thoughts after reading @Mantle_Official's H1 report: Looking back, it's been quite a journey since Q4 2025 when Mantle made the deliberate decision to position itself around RWA-Fi. At the time, it wasn't the most obvious narrative. But in hindsight, the move looks increasingly well-calibrated. The strategy aligned early with the broader institutional shift towards tokenised assets while leveraging one structural advantage few ecosystems possess: distribution beyond DeFi. Through existing relationships spanning CeFi <> institutional entities <> TradFi, Mantle wasn't simply building another RWA ecosystem. It was building distribution around it. Fast forward today, and we're beginning to see that thesis materialise. RWA assets now account for 58.9% of Mantle's active TVL, representing ~$229.4M out of $389M. The ecosystem itself has also expanded meaningfully. With two of the biggest players onboard their ecosystem ( @OndoFinance @xStocksFi), we have 155 tokenised equities now trade 24/7 including names such as SpaceX (SPCXx) + Franklin Templeton's ~$2B USPXx ETF. Beyond RWAs, the broader DeFi stack has continued gaining momentum. TVL surpassed $1B w/ stablecoin market cap reached ~$955M (+120%), while Mantle's Aave deployment rapidly scaled to peak at $1.34B (becoming the 3rd largest Aave market globally within weeks at that point of time). Another interesting development is on the agentic front. The core infrastructure is now largely in place w/ standards such as ERC-8004 (identity), x402 (payments) & ERC-8183 (commerce) beginning to establish the rails required for autonomous economic activity. To me, this is equally important. A holistically mature ecosystem won't simply be about tokenising assets. It'll require programmable infrastructure capable of supporting both institutional capital + autonomous agents interacting with financial markets. Looking ahead, Mantle's H2 priorities continue reinforcing that direction: 🔹Doubling-down on bringing more real-world assets on-chain 🔹Expanding productive capital deployment opportunities across DeFi (already strong active TVL) 🔹Deepening institutional participation and ecosystem partnerships 🔹 Scaling the infrastructure powering the emerging agent economy Overall, H1 feels less like the end of a growth phase and more like the foundation being laid. The infrastructure is increasingly coming together. More importantly, it's being built ahead of demand. With the tokenisation opportunity estimated at ~$430T globally, the current on-chain market remains significantly under-captured, leaving substantial room for institutional capital to flow on-chain over the coming years. The next question is no longer whether institutions will enter on-chain markets. It's how much capital these ecosystems can actually absorb once they do.
