Parnas: These service members, they didn’t sign up for a five-star vacation. No one’s suggesting that. But they did sign up to have their basic needs met if they’re going to go fight on behalf of the United States of America abroad. And so any other Secretary of Defense, any other president at this point would have stepped in and said, you know what? Maybe there have been some failures. Maybe there have been some troubles at war. It’s hard to fly a Postal Service cargo plane into the middle of a war zone. I get it. Family members get it. Service members get it. When you go out there and say, well, they haven’t been deployed long enough, or they’re just misrepresenting what’s actually happening on these ships, it just gaslights the hell out of these service members and their families, and it makes everything exponentially worse.
