Ivory Coast (Cote dโIvoire) ๐จ๐ฎ, Ghana ๐ฌ๐ญ, Togo ๐น๐ฌ, Benin Republic ๐ง๐ฏ, and Nigeria ๐ณ๐ฌ have officially confirmed the establishment of the AbidjanโLagos Corridor Management Authority, the body that will oversee the operation and management of the 1,028-kilometre coastal highway.
The operational phase of the six-lane corridor is scheduled to begin in 2030.
Plans are also underway to develop a parallel high-speed railway alongside the highway.
The corridor is projected to generate a combined $16 billion in trade and approximately $1.3 billion in toll revenues for the five participating countries.
