Over 360 deaths have been confirmed after devastating floods swept through Nepal and parts of Tibet/China following a glacial collapse near the Nepal–Tibet border.
At least 359 people have died in Nepal, with 3 more deaths reported in Tibet/China, while more than 1,400 people remain missing.
The catastrophic surge of water, mud and debris devastated communities, roads, bridges and infrastructure along the Bhotekoshi–Trishuli river system.
Rescue and recovery operations are still ongoing, and the casualty figures are expected to be revised as more bodies are recovered.

Nepal’s foreign minister said an earthquake likely triggered a massive avalanche and landslide, blocking the river before the water broke through downstream.
At least 384 tourists and hundreds of locals remain missing, including 105 Indian citizens, 12 British nationals, 3 Americans and 8 South Koreans.
