Punjab BJP leader Sunil Jakhar said he has written to Union Home Minister Amit Shah, requesting an NIA investigation into the drug trade allegedly operating from Punjab’s prisons under government patronage
He also sought an ED investigation into money laundering linked to the drug trade, including the large sum of money seized from a drug inspector arrested on charges of selling drugs
In a post on X, Jakhar said these probes are needed to save Punjab from the scourge of drugs, which he said the Bhagwant Mann government has “miserably failed” to curb
