Chinese-Kyrgyz Solar Plant Ends Blackouts China has deepened green-energy ties with Kyrgyzstan through the Zhan Tai solar plant, the country's first utility-scale photovoltaic project. Launched in December 2025, the 230-hectare facility with 193,000 panels generates 200 million kWh annually, ending chronic blackouts for nearby communities. Operated by a joint Chinese-Kyrgyz technical team, the plant leverages Kyrgyzstan's solar resources and China's technological expertise. Local technician Marat Chukubayev praised the reliability of Chinese equipment, while his father noted improved daily life from stable power. Chinese project lead Ma Wenjun called it a win-win model.
