A Royal Navy warship that vanished 118 years ago is in line to benefit from new Government protections. โš“ HMS Tiger - whose discovery is announced today by dive group ProjectXplore - is potentially one of thousands of vulnerable military wreck sites. Under changes proposed by the Armed Forces Bill, sites like these would be automatically safeguarded from the moment they are found. ๐ŸŒŠ This would make it an offence to disturb military wreck sites without permission โ€“ protecting the final resting places of thousands of sailors and marines. The Bill also includes measures to improve military housing and strengthen the UKโ€™s Strategic Reserve. ๐Ÿก ๐Ÿ“ธ Image credits: Dan McMullen, Joe Colls Burnett, Guy Trees, Dr Steffen G Scholz.
