Wilber is a 28-year-old Venezuelan asylum seeker who entered through CBP One, was inspected at a port of entry, received a work permit, and has been working as a DoorDash driver in Austin to support his family. He has no criminal record. ICE still tried to rush him out of the country after an agent shot him in the back. The removal order exists because a court notice went to an old address after he moved. This was a paperwork failure that happens constantly in immigration court. That is not a justification for this.
