Ro Khanna (D-CA) says he “raised the issue” of wrongfully detained U.S. citizens to China in his last visit, and called the detention of U.S. citizen Min Zin by China “appalling” and “unacceptable.” Zin, a University of California-Berkeley scholar, is a constituent of Khanna who was charged by the Chinese with “endangering national security,” and the congressman says “we cannot have American citizens or scholars in America be detained or disappeared because of what they say.”
