Israel Defense Forces(@IDF):❗️ REVEALED: Following an intelligence effort conducted by the security agencies, we can now reveal that the commander of the Rafah Brigade, Nael Abu Obeid, who was eliminated this week in Gaza, was involved in abducting and holding Israeli civilians & IDF soldiers captive for years, including during the war. In 2014, Nael Abu Obeid took part in holding Lt. Hadar Goldin in Hamas captivity. Throughout the war, he was involved in holding several hostages captive, including Sergeant First Class Nimrod Cohen in an underground tunnel in the Rafah area.

🔴 ELIMINATED: Nael Abu Obeid, Commander of Hamas’ Rafah Brigade and Head of Hamas’ Military Wing Operations Array. Abu Obeid was a key figure among Hamas׳ senior leadership. He was responsible for managing the activities of the brigade’s terrorists and directing them to advance and carry out terror attacks against Israeli civilians & IDF troops and to restore the brigade’s force buildup.
