Afghan Muslims stoned a girl to death over her father's suspicion that she lost her virginity before he sold her into forced marriage with an old relative. Her father and the imam called the men of the local village to join the Islamic Sharia council and carry out the stoning. She begged for her life and cried desperately for mercy. They laughed as she cried for forgiveness and begged them to spare her the painful slow death. As she was losing her voice out of fear and desperately repeating her pleas for mercy, they tied her in an open grave and stoned her as they chanted “Allahu Akbar”—turning her execution into a celebration. Her pleas for forgiveness turned into screams of pain until her last breath. This is Sharia. This is what jihadists want when they demand an Islamic state.
