My goodness, what's going on…
The US 10-year yield is ripping higher RIGHT NOW.
Around 5.1%. A fresh 19-YEAR HIGH, back to levels last seen in 2007.
Strong business data has traders increasing their bets on another Fed HIKE.
That puts more pressure on mortgage rates, corporate refinancing and expensive stock valuations.
My concern is the debt still sitting at old, cheap rates…
As it matures, companies needing to refinance can end up paying much more interest on the SAME amount of debt.
I want businesses that can fund their own growth in this market.
