We rigorously defined and studied inductive reasoning and deductive reasoning in the era of LLMs. Thinking of how in-context-learning is working and why neural models are not good at deduction compared with symbolic systems, we doubt that deductive reasoning poster a greater challenge to LLMs, compared with inductive reasoning.
