Coming back from an evening in Paris followed by an evening in London, I’m more optimistic than ever about Solana and the future of the onchain economy. I get nervous when I see our beloved chain sometimes being portrayed as an addiction machine - casino mechanics, endless dopamine loops. And sure, you can read all day about “TradFi is coming onchain” and “institutional demand is growing fast”… but until you’re actually in a room with them, it’s hard to grasp what’s happening. Huge shout out to @archill for making this possible with events like House of SOL - bringing web3 actors and TradFi in the same room to connect. I got to meet so many interesting people coming straight from TradFi to see what’s going on onchain - explain how they plan to use it or how they’re already using it. A lot of the conversations mapped directly to what we’re building at @usediversifi with the portfolio protocol. Real pain points, real demand, real excitement. It gives me enormous energy to see with my own eyes that this tech is becoming more and more the obvious path for capital markets. And to be clear - I don’t think this has to be “OG values vs institutions”. The win is keeping the rails as open as possible, while making the UX and standards strong enough that serious capital can show up without breaking what makes crypto, crypto. I know it’s not easy, but try to ignore CT sentiment and positions as much as possible. It’s far from painting the real picture. People like @cryptobecool are leading the charge, and it’s very exciting to see the Foundation pushing these initiatives. Two days in a row. Massive signal.
