🛑 Philly ICE Tase, Karen on Cue 🛑
ICE had to tase a fleeing suspect on a Philadelphia street after he ran and went down hard on the pavement, now the pavement looks better than he does.
Philadelphia spent years as a sanctuary city that refused ICE detainers, then City Council passed the “ICE Out” package on April 23, 2026, Mayor Cherelle Parker signed it in May, and it took effect July 6. The laws ban honoring immigration detainers, bar ICE from staging on city property, and even try to ban officers from wearing masks on Philly streets. After the ordinance landed, ICE’s Philly ERO office sent the city 26 detainers; Philadelphia released 15 of those people, according to the Justice Department’s lawsuit against the city.
Pennsylvania isn’t sitting still. Immigration arrests in the state jumped from 2,004 in Biden’s last 14 months to 8,796 from Jan. 20, 2025 through March 11, 2026, and the Philly ERO field office logged about 6,900 arrests in FY2025 alone. Local 287(g) partnerships with ICE in Pennsylvania ballooned to 106 by June 2026. FAIR estimates put about 251,000 illegal aliens in Pennsylvania at a roughly $1.64 billion annual cost to taxpayers.
Karen is there as usual, upset that she’s running out of cheap lawn-care options, yelling at ICE, “You’re on our streets in a mask!” as if she owns the streets too. The Supremacy Clause is laughing at Karen's mask law.
