I dont know who needs to hear this but soul and land are not magical substances. The only thing that decides if any place is good or bad to live in is the people who live there and what they actually do with it.Bring in millions of men from countries like Sudan, Somalia, Pakistan and others full of corruption, crime, rape and murder and those problems travel with them. The people are what turned those countries into places worth leaving in the first place.Look at how real progress was made. The steam engine was developed in Britain by men dealing with the flooded mines in Cornwall, where they had to pump water out of deep workings in hard granite so they could keep extracting ore. Once it worked, others laid tracks and turned it into something that could move goods and people over long distances. That led to railways, then trains, cars, lorries, steam power for factories, big machines and proper ocean going ships. The Chinese invented the compass but used it mainly for feng shui. Europeans took the same idea and used it to steer ships across open seas for trade and exploration. Gunpowder was invented in China too, but Europeans developed it into guns and cannons that gave real military advantage.That is the people, not the land. Groups take what is around them or what others have already found and turn it into something bigger through invention and practical use. Harsh conditions and the need to survive and improve push some peoples to build and advance while others do not. The land itself does nothing. It is the people, their culture and their drive that shape what a country becomes. If we are no longer us, if we're just a cash cow for other people who've achieved nothing and import their backwards attitudes that made their own countries shit, there will be nothing. Its not the land, its the people.
