The US manufacturing recovery is accelerating:
ISM Manufacturing PMI rose +2.3 points in July, to 55.6, the highest since May 2022.
This marks the 7th consecutive monthly expansion.
Since December 2025, the index has surged +7.7 points, the biggest increase since the 2020 pandemic recovery.
This comes as new orders rose +0.7 points, to 56.7, the 3rd-highest since February 2022, pointing to further strength ahead.
At the same time, the employment index jumped +3.1 points, to 52.8, the highest since August 2022, marking the first monthly expansion since January 2025.
Meanwhile, prices paid fell -1.9 points, to 71.1, the lowest since February, posting the 3rd consecutive monthly decline by a total of -13.5 points.
Manufacturing activity is gaining momentum.
