🇺🇸 A detransitioner who had her breasts removed at 18 is taking her doctors back to court. Prisha Mosley was struggling as a teenager when she started identifying as a boy. At 17, she started testosterone, and by 18 she had undergone a double mastectomy. Fast forward a few years, Mosley detransitioned and sued. Her case is that doctors misled her about what transitioning could actually do, including telling her she could become a man and that testosterone was putting her through “male puberty.” But her malpractice case was thrown out because she waited too long to sue. Then North Carolina changed the law, giving people who went through gender-transition treatment more time to bring cases like hers. So naturally, Mosley appealed, and now the state Court of Appeals will hear her case on Sept. 29.
