Islam gave women rights centuries before many societies recognised them.
Then men came along, mixed religion with culture, patriarchy and personal interests, and stripped women of rights Islam had already given them.
Now the same oppression gets blamed on Islam.
No. Sometimes the problem is not the religion.
It is men hiding behind religion.
