Pentagon records show that retired Air Force Colonel Rob Maness and retired Army Colonel Kurt Schlichter, who have roughly 135,000 and 620,000 followers, respectively, are carrying official government email addresses with a “.civ” suffix, meaning they’re on the books as civilian employees. Another retired colonel, Thomas Anderson, who posts under the pen name Cynical Publius to more than 323,000 followers on X, was listed in Pentagon records with a .civ address too. All of them were assigned to the office of Anthony Tata, the undersecretary of defence for personnel and readiness, and officials won’t disclose what they actually do. Traitors, in other words. So the Department of Defence, the one that tells you it’s “the most transparent Defence Department ever,” is running a taxpayer-adjacent propaganda shop out of a Pentagon office and won’t answer basic questions about who’s getting paid and for what.
