yes it should be native, but on extensibility I have thought quite much, went through the path of Lua and then rejected it.
Basically:
- If it is user facing, just natural language and bash (yes, bash is all you need).
- if it is used internally, just the language the runtime is built-in or some DSL
this is good i always thought a minimal harness should be all native
they'll probably add an embedded scripting language for extensibility
whats fun is it does not matter if people don't know lua anymore
