I have seen many clips of pastors claiming that God inflicts severe retribution on a person who speaks against/insults/accuses a 'man of God'. I have also seen that some 'christians' are calling for God's punishment to come upon VeryDarkMan because of the things he's been saying against Pastor Arome Osayi. I get worried, and I wonder if these pastors that threaten people who insult them, are speaking the mind of the Lord. The Lord Jesus said "Love your enemies, do good to them which hate you. Bless them that curse you, and pray for them which despitefully use you" Luke 6:27-28. Would Jesus, after telling His followers to bless those who curse them, turn around to act directly opposite to His own teachings? When James and John wanted to call down fire on those who rejected Jesus in Luke 9:52-56, Jesus scolded them and said they don't know what kind of spirit they have. All these huffing and puffing I see on my timeline are not in alignment with the character of our Messiah.
