Will the Fed change interest rates in July?
๐ฆ The July FOMC meeting is shaping up to be one of the biggest macro events of the month.
At the Fed's June meeting, the first under new Chair Kevin Warsh, officials left interest rates unchanged. But the meeting also revealed a divided committee, with some policymakers warning that persistent inflation could eventually require higher rates.
Warsh offered little forward guidance, leaving markets with more questions than answers.
Now, all eyes are on the economic data still to come, especially this week's CPI report, as traders try to predict what the Fed will do on July 29.
