Chipmakers bought $135.1 billion of equipment in 2025. SEMI forecasts $229.5 billion by 2028.
That's 19.3% a year, against 11.1% a year over the seven years before it. The acceleration comes from three things happening at once: AI processors, the memory that feeds them, and fabs being built with government money.
The REX AI Chipmaking ETF $CHIP holds the companies selling that equipment.
