Now published as a Stage 1 Registered Report in @RHubJournal, Hao's project will test whether Sirt6 loss in vessel-support cells triggers a “senescence secretome” that actively blocks muscle recovery after ischemia.
If confirmed, it could point to new therapeutic targets for one of the world's most common vascular diseases.
