SPACEX: An application with the St. Johns River Water Management District has been filed for an Environmental Resource Permit for "Project Ignition", a 55.35-acre Starship test facility at Kennedy Space Center. It is to be located west of Roberts Road and south/east of Schwartz Road, near the Indian River. The project includes a test stand and associated infrastructure for post-production testing of Starship, including tank tests, proof tests, spin-prime tests, and static fire tests. Think along the lines of Massey's at Starbase. Patrick Hessenius, SpaceX Starship Launch Engineering Manager, signed the financial capability certification for perpetual operations and maintenance, and SpaceX CFO Bret Johnsen authorized himself and Teresa Szakos, Kevin Holland, and Patrick as legal authorities to bind SpaceX on applications and future permits.
