Generative AI was barely a year into the public consciousness, and the open-vs-closed debate was fierce. We invested in Hugging Face because we believed an open ecosystem would keep AI fast, transparent, and trustworthy as it moved into sensitive industries. We saw Hugging Face as the GitHub for AI. Three years later, the platform has grown from 1M repositories and 2M users to 18M+ developers sharing 3M+ models, 500k+ datasets, and 1M+ applications.
