YMTC’s STAR Market IPO application has been formally accepted by the Shanghai Stock Exchange.
The Chinese NAND leader plans to raise RMB 33 billion (about $4.9 billion) by issuing 1.98 to 2.43 billion shares.
Roughly RMB 20.8 billion will go toward mass-production line upgrades and RMB 12.2 billion toward R&D.
YMTC ranked third globally in NAND shipments with about a 14% share in the second quarter.
The listing follows CXMT’s recent DRAM IPO and marks another concrete step in China’s push for semiconductor self-reliance as AI demand for memory keeps rising.
A potential listing is targeted for the first half of 2027.
