Too many people want access to my knowledge, network, or success bc THEY benefit from being around me, while a majority of times, I get absolutely nothing in return, except wasted energy. I’m not available just bc we know each other. My time has significant value now. If it doesn’t add to my life, protect my peace, help me, or move something forward, I’d rather be at home alone or my kids. It might sound cold. But it’s just the honest truth.
