Tomi + TG(@TgCafe):Now solved, courtesy @Verterex_Prop. So, for the sake of anyone who might later encounter same issue: Go to play store, click on the subscription and cancel it. Then, you'll get an option to "resubscribe". Click on it. You'll get your blue tick without paying a dime.
