I know I’m a week late, but I often don’t know what to say about this stuff and try to stick to trading. But 9/11 really was such a visceral experience for anyone living around NYC. This story from @lmaschler is incredible. Just watch it. It transports me right back. I remember being in school. No true grasp of what was occurring, no cell phones. Parents were running in crying to pick up their kids and a friend’s mom told me that my dad was alive. It didn’t even hit me that he might not be. Other kids in my school weren’t so lucky. What a defining moment in our collective memories. Just like Covid lockdowns. A crazy full-circle part of this story: Lee and Trillium took on a handful of traders displaced by 9/11. One of those traders went on to become their #1#. That trader trained me and made me the trader I am today.
