SpaceXAI has an insane speed advantage in building AI infrastructure on Earth and in space that nobody else is attempting at this scale
Look at what Elon has been building:
• Colossus went from an empty site to one of the world's largest AI supercomputers in just 122 days
• It was then doubled to 200,000 GPUs in another 92 days
• SpaceXAI reported ending 2025 with 1M+ H100 GPU equivalents across Colossus I and II
• A massive 1.2 GW permanent power plant is already being built for its compute infrastructure
• Starlink already provides the global laser-linked communications layer
• Starship is being built to move enormous amounts of compute hardware into orbit
• Starmind AI1 satellites are designed for up to 250 kW of peak compute each
• SpaceX's orbital cooling cuts cooling-power overhead by an order of magnitude
• SpaceXAI and NVIDIA are working together to take Vera Rubin from massive AI factories on Earth into orbit, with Starmind AI1 built around an optimized Vera Rubin NVL72 architecture using NVIDIA's high-speed NVLink compute stack
• A new Gigasat Factory is being built to manufacture and deploy thousands of AI satellites starting as soon as late 2027
• SpaceX and Tesla are now building Terafab to bring logic, memory and advanced packaging under one roof for a future requiring more than 1 TW of compute
Most AI companies need completely separate companies for power, data centers, networking, chips and launch
Elon is putting the entire physical AI infrastructure stack together under one system:
AI → Earth compute → power → chips → networking → rockets → satellites → orbital compute
Colossus trains the models
Terafab attacks the chip bottleneck
Starship carries the compute into orbit
Starmind runs the compute in space
Starlink moves the data around the planet
Nobody else is building this entire stack
And the speed is the insane part
Every layer compounds the advantage of the others as the whole system scales
This is a completely different game
