Rockstar Games staff have locked in a union recognition vote that runs from 12 to 26 November.
Those dates sit on either side of Grand Theft Auto 6’s release window.
If it passes, the Rockstar Game Workers Union says it would become the largest recognised union in the UK games industry.
Rockstar’s head of publishing Jennifer Kolbe recently told Bloomberg, “we go where the team goes. So if they want a union, they will have a union.”
The vote also overlaps the final days of an employment tribunal over the 2025 firing of more than 30 staff.
The union has called the firings union-busting. Rockstar has said they were for misconduct.
November now packs the union vote, the GTA 6 launch, and the tribunal’s closing arguments into the same few weeks.
