a long history of spx posts doesn’t tell you how much conviction someone actually has. going sideways helps you figure that out. you’ll begin to notice who struggles to stay convinced of the spx thesis during long periods of boring price action. after watching enough of those people sell and start fuding overnight, you become capable of recognizing the behavior earlier. by the time they sell, they’ve usually been giving you reasons to expect it for a while. this is why i’m so bullish with how spx6900 is unfolding. i believe the group capable of taking it to trillions has formed, and this long stretch of sideways is merely shaking out the fake believers. hope this makes it clear why the 1-2 year periods of accumulation are CRUCIAL for the long term success of strong assets. the supply MUST get transferred to strong hands.
