Lovable has acquired Sutro. I went to @antonosika hoping @Lovable would use our technology. It ended up with an offer to acquire the company. My first useful piece of software was a website I built to help schoolmates with math. Getting it to work felt delightful. Seeing other people use it felt magical. Something I’d imagined was now real and helping someone else. We spent five years at Sutro bringing that feeling to others. As their ideas grew more ambitious, we took on harder engineering problems. We built our own programming language, compiler and hosting platform to help people create secure and reliable applications. Now, at Lovable, we get to share that feeling on a scale I could hardly have imagined when I built that math website. Sutro engineers are joining to help build the Lovable platform. I’m leading technical evangelism, sharing the engineering that makes this possible and helping people see how far they can take their ideas. I’m proud of what we built.
