Send an email to KLM support detailing what I've gone through trying to re-instante or get a new frequent flyer account. Thought of sharing since this makes me laugh (while crying): "I literally just want to have a Flying Blue account (old or new), but have been unable to do this. Here’s the course of events: When I logged in with my email and go to the Flying blue pages, It asks me to sign up for Flying blue. When I then signed up, it tells me that I can’t sign up because I already have a Flying blue account. When I reached out via chat, support folks told me that by account is so old that it has been suspended. When I ask them to un-suspend it, they say they can't, but suggest to create a new account with a new email. When I create a new account with a new email, it fails because it says “the email is already in use”. The email is definitely not in use (I just created it), but I assume that my name and birthday are matched, and therefore can’t create a new account. So I’m unable to use my suspended Flying Blue account, neither am I able to create a new one. When I tell support via chat they say I should send an email to someone who would be able to reinstate my Flying blue number. They make me sign a PDF and send it over. Nobody ever replies to that email. I then email KLM’s privacy officer to delete my account and all info (thank you GDPR). They say they can’t because I’ve got a flight with them. I then ask the privacy office to reinstate my Flying Blue account. No reply yet, but I’m guessing they’ll ask me to contact support."
