INFURIATING: The Clancy excuse is how a Muslim just got away with his horrific crime against a little girl. A leftist judge acquitted Ahmed Baig of str*ngling a 7-year-old in a driveway. ⠀ The attack was Aug. 2, 2023, in North York, Canada. Baig was 38, a father of three, and had no criminal record. ⠀ He had been home alone vaping a legal cannabis product a shop recommended for anxiety. He walked outside in a towel. The towel fell off. ⠀ Justice Mara Greene wrote, “He ran into the driveway and picked up a seven-year-old girl. He threw her to the ground, punched her and str*ngled her.” ⠀ The mother said he yelled both “I will k*ll you” and “I won't k*ll you.” Court papers say he also referred to Allah. The driveway was on video. ⠀ Police grabbed him a short time later in only a T-shirt. The girl’s name is under a publication ban. The charges were as$ault causing bodily harm and as$ault by choking, not hom*cide. ⠀ Greene found him not guilty of both counts in an Aug. 13, 2026, ruling. She called it “nonmental disorder automatism” from cannabis-induced psychosis. ⠀ Baig did not deny the attack. He said his next memory after lying down was a cell and fingerprints. Psychiatrist Dr. Shapiro testified it was psychosis, sleepwalking, or both. ⠀ The Crown said the acts were still voluntary. Greene rejected a mental-disorder finding and said a catastrophic reaction was not objectively foreseeable because he had used cannabis off and on since age 15 without this result. ⠀ She also declined Ontario Review Board oversight. “An acquittal based on an absence of criminal (responsibility) for a violent act is rarely a satisfying verdict,” she wrote.
