Look at the market today. $MRNA is up 6%, $LLY is up 3%, while $COHR, $LITE and $CRWV are getting hammered.
This is exactly why I keep coming back to healthcare.
AI investors are starting to question how much more money these companies need to keep spending and borrowing. Meanwhile, Moderna has its cancer vaccine data catalyst coming up, and Lilly is already turning obesity drug demand into actual sales.
I am not saying biotech is suddenly a safe haven. Plenty of these companies burn cash too.
But there is a difference between betting on another round of data center financing and owning businesses where drug sales or clinical results can change the investment case.
I still like AI, but I would not ignore what is happening in healthcare right now.
