Chinese Officials Raid House Church in Anhui, Ban Christian Hymns
Chinese authorities raided an underground house church in Jinzhai County, Anhui Province, on September 16-17, confiscating phones, deleting footage, and ordering young Christians to replace hymns naming Jesus with songs praising the Communist Party.
About 30 officers led by police chief Wang Xianjie restricted believers’ movement. The next day, officials banned songs containing “Jesus,” “God,” or “Lord.”
