He suffered broken ribs, a punctured lung and rectal tear. Initial suspicions included sodomy, but the indictment charged aggravated abuse (one soldier allegedly stabbed near the rectum with a sharp object). Charges against the five were dropped in March 2026 over evidence issues and the detainee's release to Gaza. They were detainees, not hostages.‼️
