Hi guys, itโs my day 3 of learning React.
Consistency is tiring, but you gotta show up, regardless. So today, I learnt about States in React.
I started by adding a button to my project. When the button is clicked, the text on the page changes.
This helped me understand how React can keep track of changes and update the UI without me having to manually change the HTML.
I also learnt the difference between useState and the state value itself, and when to use each one.
I also learnt that state is basically data that can change while the application is running. Whenever the state changes, React re-renders the component and updates what the user sees.
Still learning, still building, and still trying to understand why React has to make everything look so simple and confusing at the same time. ๐
See you in Day 4 ๐
Hi guys, I almost couldnโt show up today, cus guess what.. Iโm just waking up from sleep ๐คฆ๐ฝโโ๏ธ๐ , but regardless..
It's Day 2 of my React journey, and today I dove deeper into what are known as React components..
I discovered that components are the building blocks of a React application. They allow you to break your UI into smaller, reusable pieces, making your code cleaner, easier to manage, and more scalable.
To put what I learned into practice, I created Home, About, and Contact components ( just for this tutorial) Instead of writing everything in a single file, I separated each page into its own component, which made the project much more organized and easier to maintain.
I also learned about React Props and that theyโre used to pass data from one component to another, especially from a parent component to a child component.
This makes components reusable because you can pass different values to the same component instead of rewriting it multiple times.
Not bad for Day 2 ๐. Looking forward to learning even more tomorrow.
